Hello everybody,

We hope you are keeping well. Here is the information you need to enjoy Week 10 of the Oak National Academy work. The work is dated on the web site as the week beginning 29th June.

Year 3 English Reading –

  • To answer a range of reading comprehension questions.
  • To explore the features of a poem.
  • SPaG: to focus on adding description to a poem.
  • To write a poem.

 Maths – To develop our understanding of clocks.

  • To explore the ‘hour hand’ and ensure that we are accurate when reading or representing the hours.
  • To tell the time at 5-minute intervals.
  • To tell the time at 1 minute intervals on an analogue clock past the hour.
  • To tell the time at 1 minute intervals on an analogue clock to the hour.
  • To use a duration to find a start and finish time.

  • To identify the key features of a diary.
  • SPaG: To focus on expanded noun phrases and conjunctions using a diary.
  • To write own composition using the key features of a diary.


Maths –. To investigate the place value of different number systems

  • To look for patterns and familiarities with number systems.
  • To investigate Roman numerals up to 100.
  • To identify and complete number sequences.
  • To investigate number patterns.
