During the pandemic it is essential parents follow the guidance on checking symptoms before allowing children into school.
The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
- If your child or family member has any of the above symptoms please see the Kirklees guidance attached at the bottom of the page.
If your child is ill please contact the office in the morning so that it can be marked in the register. If your child has vomitted or had diahorrea we ask you keep them at home for 48 hours from the last episode.
Sometimes appointments have to be made during the school day. Please let the office staff know if your child will be late or if you need to pick them up early.
