Letter from year 3/4 staff w/c 4th May

Date: 1st May 2020 @ 11:30am

Hello everybody,

It has been good to catch up with many of you and your families on the phone over the last couple of weeks and we are glad everyone is coping and trying some of the home learning activities.

Thank you to those who have emailed questions, queries or images of work. We look forward to receiving these and helping where we can. We have a display in school and will be adding any work you send to the wall for all to see.

If you have tried to access any of the learning from Oak National Academy, well done. If not the work is still there and you can access the next week’s work dated 27th April onwards.

Year 3 - https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-3#subjects

Year 4 - https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-4#subjects

If you are in Y3, you will be creating a setting description as a junior engineer in English and working on fractions in maths. There is also some work about the Battle of Hastings to access as well as learning the parts of a plant.

If you are in Y4, you will be completing some story writing about Fantastic Beasts. In maths you can cover some more work on area and perimeter and learn more about Henry VIII. There is also some science work on reflection to have a go at.

Please contact school if you are experiencing any problems or need some more support.

Remember you can still use TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed and the teachers are keeping a track of your progress from school and home. Please also continue reading to your adults at home – if you need more reading books please contact the school office.

Stay Safe

See you all soon.
