Shout-Outs and More!

Hi everyone!

We're back here discussing and showcasing many examples of amazing work you have been doing both in and out of school during the current national lockdown.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed by sending photos and discussing their work with their class teacher through email, Tapestry or Purple Mash. We love to know how you are getting on with your learning!

Year 6

Year 6 have worked so hard both in and out of school this week. We would like to put a special mention out for Maisy, Evan, Tyler, Connor and Tia who have either been sharing lots of work with us or have been determined when trying to understand how to use these new online tools. We're all learning together. Well done everyone!

Year 5

We have seen some really nice work from Year 5 this week, especially that related to the planets. There has been some amazing history and maths work sent in too!

Year 4

We have received some fantastic work from Alisha about the Romans this week - a reading comprehension about a diary and some factual writing. Great job!

Year 3

Elizah sorted French foods by whether they were healthy or unhealthy and Jasmina showed her understanding of the story of The Good Samaritan in RE by saying how he was kind and how she could also be kind.

Year 3 would like to do an extra special mention to these children who have been uploading lots of work to Purple Mash:

3E - Sam, Ayesha, Awen, Abdur-Rahmaan and Aikaterini.

3J - Amaya, Laiba and Ria

Year 2

Finley has been working so hard with his home learning. He has completed every task and uploaded all of his work. He has even done some independent research for our Science work on plants. Well done Finley we are so proud!

Qanitah has been very busy at home completing all of her online work to an extremely high standard. Well done Qanitah!

Talayah has been my star worker this week. She has completed every task and has tried so hard to upload everything she has done. Well done to mum too for helping her complete work to such a high standard! Great team work.

Year 1

Year 1 staff have been super impressed with the work that the children have been doing online.  They have seen fabulous number bond to 20 addition work and some lovely sentences about how characters might have felt in the story they are reading - Lost and Found.  Mrs Williams had some fantastic suggestions and science work relating to creating and melting ice - the children have enjoyed finding out how long it has taken to rescue Anna (from Frozen) from the ice and then thinking about fair investigations to melt Elsa's frozen hand in as quick a time as possible.

Mrs Williams would like to give a special mention to Madeleine, Mason, Alijah and Reyah for the quantity and quality of the work they have been submitting to be marked.  Lots of other children have been doing lots of work but these have really stood out this week! Well done!

Reception

The children in reception have been working very hard at home. Our topic this half term is Prehistoric so we are learning about dinosaurs. Elleya made her own picture of a dinosaur, Dimitrios found his own book to match the one Mrs Hamilton was reading on video to join in. Adam has made his own day and night pictures. Amber practised writing her numbers and Khang and Marley have done some good phonics work.

A special mention to Zayaan, Remii, Ben, Emily, Rayaan, Lily and Tyler as they have also been working very hard on Purplemash to complete the tasks set.

Well done to everyone in reception for all your hard work this week.
