Historic Huddersfield Week

We are celebrating our town next week in school. Huddersfield has amazing buildings, heritage and lots to teach the children. Each year group will visit diffferent locations to learn more about our local area.

Year 1 will look around our school, looking at buildings and how the ring road links the school to the town centre.

Year 2 will learn more about the local area of Moldgreen and how buildings vary from houses, places of worship, garages and shops and take aways.

Year 3 are completing the Heritage Trail

Year 4 will walk the Historic Trail

Year 5 will look at how Huddersfield become famous for our woolen cloth by walking the Textile Trail

Year 6 will learn about The Ramsden family who much of Huddersfield was named after. Ramsden Trail

Pupils will hopefully gain more knowledge of the town where we live and gain some important historical facts.
