In School

In school last week, children were doing activities based around key-workers. On Tuesday, the children wrote acrostic poems about nurses, wrote facts about Florence Nightingale and drew pictures of Florence as well as modern day nurses. Jackson did a fantastic drawing of Florence Nightingale and listened carefully to the step-by-step instructions given. Erin wrote a lovely poem about nurses using adjectives and took real care with her cursive handwriting. Emelia made a super mini poster of her fact about Florence Nightingale. She took her time and really thought about the presentation of her work.

On Thursday, Miss March arranged a special visit from the police. The children prepared questions in the morning which they were able to ask them and they even had the opportunity to look inside the police van and hear the siren! It was a great afternoon and the police said they would hopefully visit us again soon.
