Letter from Year 3/4 staff w/c 11th May
Date: 7th May 2020 @ 4:21pm
We hope you are keeping well. Thank you for the e-mails so far about the work you have completed and the images we can look at and print off.
It sounds like many of you are enjoying the Oak National Academy web-site and I know it is being used across the whole of the UK, with many children completing the activities.
This week’s work is:
Year 3 – English – poetry writing based on the poem ‘The Sound Collector’ by Roger McGough
Maths – work on fractions!
Foundation – Work on the Norman conquest (lesson 5) then moving on to Henry II and Thomas Beckett (Lesson 1). In Science, looking at the function of plants (lesson 3).
Year 4 – English – writing a news report based on the story ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl and the film with Johnny Depp.
Maths – work on measure using capacity and mass and cm and m.
Foundation – work on Refraction (lesson 3) and Henry VIII (lesson 5) and the Spanish Armada (lesson 1)
Remember that we are following the Oak Primary lessons a week behind; this is to give teachers the opportunity to check the lessons before we ask children to complete them. There will be lessons on the page that we haven’t yet asked you to complete.
Please feel free to continue to email about any issues you have or support you need. Also the school office is open Monday to Friday during school hours for you to telephone and speak to a member of staff.
Have a look at the school web-site or Twitter page (@MoldgreenCPS) to watch some fun videos to make you smile.
Remember you can still use TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed and the teachers are keeping a track of your progress from school and home. Please also continue reading to your adults at home – if you need more reading books please contact the school office.
See you all soon.
